Overview
If you setup BOTH a Due Date & Release Condition (aka “Access from” and “Access until”) you can follow these steps to change either the Due Date or Access From / Access Until date when you have conflicting times.
Instructions
Part 1: Edit the Access until in the release conditions area.
Find your test and click Edit release conditions.
Change the Access until to a later date. This is the day it will close to the students. (In this example the date is changed from 7/15 to 7/17).
The Access until cannot be the exactly the same as the Due Date. To bypass, add one minute to the Access until so it is different than the due date.
Note: You can also uncheck this option if you have “Prohibit late submissions” turned on in the test settings and just want the test deadline to follow the “Due Date”.
Part 2: Edit the Assessment due date
Go to the Assessment Settings by taking a step back and click the name of the test. Then click the Gear in the upper right corner.
Change the Due Date to the new deadline date. (It must be BEFORE the Access Until date)
Click Save
Part 3: Edit the Access from in the Release Conditions area.
You can now go back into the Edit Release Conditions and change the Access from date, if you don’t want students to access the test yet. (This must be BEFORE the Due Date)
Removing the Release Conditions Completely
If you want to remove the release conditions completely:
Go into the Edit release conditions page.
Select the 3 dots … in the upper right
Select Delete
You will be completely deleting this Rule and can make a new one later if needed.
