Overview
You can create assignments alongside other content in your Blackboard course.
Instructions
In your Blackboard course.
Go to the course Content page at the top.
Choose the location where you would like to add the assignment and select the plus sign.
Click Create.
Select Assignment.
At the top, enter the name of the Assignment. As best practice, enter the Instructions for the assignment. You can also include an attachment in the Instructions area.
Click the Setting icon to change the assignment settings.
Under Details & Information, enter the Due Date.
Under Grading & Submissions, enter the points for the assignment.
Optionally, you can let your students submit more than one attempt for the assignment by changing the Attempts allowed setting.
Place a check mark on Post assessment grades automatically. This means students can see their assignment grade once you enter their grade. Turn the setting off if you want to manually control grade publication.
Other considerations:
You can use SafeAssign to check for potential plagiarism in student submissions. (How to Turn On SafeAssign).
