Overview
In order to add a Google Calendar into your Blackboard course, you will need the embed code for the calendar.
Note: Edtech does not manage Google Calendar. To request a new generic ISMMS Google Calendar or to request technical assistance with Google Calendar, please contact ASCIT@mssm.edu.
Part 1: Find the embedded code for your Google Calendar.
Instructions
1. Log in to your Google Calendar account at Google.com/calendar
2. Find the name of the Calendar from the left menu, normally it will be under the area called Other calendars. Place a check mark on the calendar.
3. Click the three dots, then select Settings
4. Scroll down to locate the Integrate calendar from the left menu.
5. There is an embedded code that you can copy and paste onto your Blackboard course. However, by default Google Calendar may be shown as Month view. You change the view:
a. Click Customize if you need the calendar in a different view.
b. On the left menu, change the default view to Schedule by clicking the drop-down menu.
c. At the top of the page, click the Copy icon to grab the embedded code.
Part 2: Place the embedded code in your Blackboard course.
1. Go into your Blackboard course.
2. Go to the location where you would like to place the calendar.
3. Click the Plus sign, then select Create.
4. Select Document.
5. At the top of the page, provide a name for this calendar.
6. Select HTML.
7. Paste the embedded code from Google Calendar, then click Save.
8. Select the drop-down menu to set the calendar to be Visible to Students.
