Overview
Learn how to create and manage discussions. This tool can be used for small group discussions, icebreakers, Q&A, reflective learning, etc.
Instructions
Option 1
Inside your course, click on the + button
Then select Create
Then scroll down on the right menu and select Discussion
Note: This will create a single discussion topic / thread within your course content area.
Option 2
You also have a dedicated Discussions page at the top menu of your course.
You can select New Discussion here to create a new topic / thread.
Managing Your Discussions
After clicking the Discussion tab at the top menu of your course, all of your threads will appear here.
You can click directly on the thread to edit the title / content. Or you can click the 3 … dots.
Clicking the 3 … dots will also allow you to see Student Activity
