Overview
This is how you create an assignment specifically linked to the Portfolio tool.
Instructions
Sign in into your Blackboard course
On the Course Content page, click the Plus Symbol and select Institution Tools
Click the + Plus button for Portfolio Tool
Note: Make sure you click the + Plus directly and do not click outside of it for this to work.
Select the 3 dots … next to the Portfolio Tool you just created.
Then select Edit
Change the name of Portfolio Tool by clicking the pencil and give your portfolio assignment a name.
Change the “Hidden from Students” drop down to Visible to students when you are ready to release it to the class.
Give your assignment a Due date and change the maximum points 0 - 100.
Click Save when you are done
You now have to link this assignment to a "Table of Contents" that you created on chalkandwires Portfolio web page.
Click the name of the new portfolio assignment you just created on Blackboard
Choose the Department (Medical Education or Graduate School)
Select the Table of Contents
Then select a Section that must have a "Linked Assessment Instrument" on it.
Note: In Portfolio, a Assessment Instrument is really just a Rubric.
Click Save
